Exploring Kathmandu

Updated: Mar 25, 2022

We arrived in Nepal on Wednesday evening and settled into the hotel in Kathmandu ready for our adventure to Everest.

Thurdays was spent in the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu where we visited numerous temples and famous sites with many Unesco world famous buildings temples.vMany of these were affected by the 2015 earthquake which killed 8,964 people and measured 7.8 on the Richter scale.

Nepal has 8 of the 10 highest mountains in the world, many of them affected by the earthquake.

Nepal is located between China in the north and India to the south and is the official Hindu country in the world.

We had some time to explore Kathmandu and thought we'd try some of the beverages.
